Make Me a Match

October 26th, 2010 in friends, rhett    2 Comments

If I had to choose a lady for my little man today, it would be this sweet thing.  Leighton is so stinkin’ cute and pretty feisty, I’d say.  She belongs to my friend, Kristin who was in town from Kansas City for a quick visit.  Is it possible that they already kinda look alike, like old married people?

One For The Books

Such a good weekend.

We had our great friends, Beau and Allison Egert and their kiddos in town this weekend.  They have a three-year-old, Grace (who was the flower girl in our wedding) and a eight-month-old, Lane (more commonly called Baco, thanks to Grace).

Baco is crazy!  He is all over the place. It’s so hard to imagine Rhett being Baco’s size.  He’s so smiley, and most happy when he’s on the go.

Grace is just as cute as ever.  She was so sweet to Rhett, and he really took to her too.

We even managed to have some real adult conversations once all the kids were in bed.

Here are a few shots from the weekend…

Two Men and Five Little Ladies

Ok, not quite men yet…or even close to it.  But, it made for a clever title.
Tonight, my good friend, Angela Suh had me and Rhett and some of our other girl friends over for dinner (Erin, Aki, and Elisa).  It was my first girls night since Rhett came along (long overdue).

Angela has two kids – Malachi (two years old) and Evie (will be one in April).  Evie was already asleep for the night when Rhett and I got there.  But Malachi, who calls Rhett “Baby Rhett”, was in full force.  Rhett had a big time.

Thanks, Angela, for having us over…and for teaching me how to use Google Reader.  You’re such a techie.

John and Sarah are engaged!

The happy couple, John and Sarah (left to right).

On Monday, our friends John Murchison and Sarah Cummings got engaged!  They met in a class that John taught at our church.  Doug and I were also in the class… and suspected the love connection early on.  I was so honored to be part of the proposal plan.  John sent Sarah around town to different places that were meaningful to them and their relationship.  I was stationed at the church office building, where our class had taken place.  The day ended in Fredericksburg with a dinner, a ring and a question.  She said yes!  We’re so excited for you, John and Sarah!  We pray God’s richest blessings on your marriage.
