(Listen, I know these are all my quotes.  But, the rule is nothing goes in the quote book unless the other person says it goes in the quote book.  And apparently I am not as generous with my quote book qualifications.)

Doug: No.  Why?
Amanda: I needed new shoes.

It’s not too uncommon to hear “that’s going in the family quote book” around here.  The ironic thing is that we don’t even have a quote book and we’ve yet to write any of our best quotes down.
